Go Dog, Go

Dog owners we hope will be all ears we hope for these ideas of places your pooch is welcome in the Oconomowoc area.

Fowler Lake walking loop

If you aren't hip to it yet, one of the most popular and scenic places to take your dog for a walk is around Fowler Lake. You'll follow sidewalks around parks, neighborhoods and through downtown. Here's a map of the loop.

Good dogs get treats

As mentioned, the Fowler loop passes through downtown where you'll find a small business just for the dogs. At Lucky Mutts Bakery your pup can pick out their own homemade treat and you can also shop accessories, toys and more!

And of course after you get your pup a treat, treat yourself to some food or drinks at dog-friendly places!

Bark in the Park

The Lake Country DockHounds are proud to offer the most FREE Bark in the Park nights of any team in the country!

Bring your dog to any DockHounds home game Monday through Wednesday and enjoy a tail-wagging good time.

Sit back and relax in the Lawn Seating area or get a great view from dugout seats in Section 110. Louie, our team mascot, loves meeting all his furry friends, but kindly asks that dogs remain on a leash throughout their visit.

Join us for a paws-itively fun experience at the ballpark — your four-legged friend is ready for a night of baseball and fun!

Dog Parks Coming Soon - 2026

Oconomowoc is excited to open a dog park spring of 2026. The park will feature two areas - for small and larger dogs - at Oconomowoc's Roosevelt Park. The dog park will be another fun destination in Roosevelt Park which also features a skate park, Imagination Station playground, access to the Lake Country Trail, a splash pad and great picnic areas. It's a destination for the entire family!

While Oconomowoc certainly has options for you to bring your dog along, dogs must stay on leash and when in park areas they must stay on paved paths. If you want to let them off leash and romp a bit you can venture out of Oconomowoc a bit. Nashotah Park offers a very popular, easy to access dog park. That is a Waukesha County Park and does require a sticker or entrance fee. The county also offers other dog parks, check it all out here.
